In the area of Nature Park Telašćica in 2008 an inventory of the vascular flora was conducted. The flora of the Nature Park Telašćica consist of 531 kinds of plants. Of the endemic species that make up only 0.9% of total species, the subspecies of the Croatian Centaury Centaurea Ragusina ssp. lungensis that resides in the bay Čuška dumboka and on the cliffs is the one that stands out. In the area of the park there are 32 taxa even inscribed in the red books of vascular flora in Croatia.

The most interesting plant species in the Park is a Croatian endemic species - Star thistle (Centaurea Ragusina), which appears here with subspecies:

Centaurea ragusina ssp. ragusina L. ( leaves don't have integral edges ).

Centaurea ragusina ssp. lungensis ( leaves have integral edges ) The subspecies Centaurea Ragusina ssp. lungensis extends in the Park from the top to the bottom of the cliffs and appears in two forms:

  • Centaurea Ragusina ssp. lungensis Padelini (Ginsb.)
  • Centaurea Ragusina ssp. lungensis Baumgartner (Ginsb.)

Besides the usual coastal species such as holm-oak, mastic tree (smrdela) and olive-tree, some of the less common species of the self-grown wood-like flora are spurge (Euphorbia dendriodes), kositrenica (Ephedra foeminateucrium fruticans) and others. This is the northern border of growth of the spurge. Of the Adriatic endemic plants there are: Chimney bellflower (Campanula pyramidalis), Star thistle (Centaurea ragusin), Littoral corydalis (Corydalis acaulis), mrižica (Limonium cancellatu ), alkanet (Onosma visianii), sage (Salvia bertolinii), žednjak (Sedum rohlenae), lastavina (Vincetaxicum croaticum) etc. Among interesting things are 8 species of wild orchids (Cephalantera longifolia, Ophrys bertolonii, O. incubacea, O. lutea, O. scolopax ssp. cornuta, Orchis quadripunctata, O. tridentate and Serapias parviflora)
