// Taljurić //
This unusual islet is actually a small rock slab with a diameter of about 60 m and a height of only about 3 m. It was built of horizontal stratified limestone whose upper layers have been destroyed by waves. It looks like a flat plane from a distance of 3 m of height and it resembles a round and flat panel like those used in kitchens and on ships. The sailors called it in the Venetian dialect "tagliero", in the Venetian dialect and thus emerged the diminutive "Taljurić". During a storm the whole rock is covered with sea foam, so there is no vegetation on it. A geological attraction on the islet is a cave without a vault resulted by dissolving and implosion of the vault in the geological past. The sea area around Taljurić is very rich in various fish, especially deep-sea fish.
